Chemin de Fer is one of the most favored games played in casinos. Black jack is also known as "twenty one" or Chemin de Fer. The game is a mix of chance and ability coupled with decision-making. References can be found in historical scriptures to a card game referred to as "vingt-et-un," which means 21 in French, and is thought of as the ancestor to blackjack.

This caused the betting houses trying a variety of features like offering a bonus in case of a 10-to-1 pay out, if the player was dealt a "black" jack and an ace of spades. The jack could be either clubs or spades. Once the card game got well-known, the bonus pay out soon vanished from the rules.
Any hand which reaches a value of twenty-one is deemed a winner. The total should not be in excess of twenty one, if it does the hand is said to be "bust." The target of every player is to defeat the casino. If the blackjack player and the dealer both have the same score, it’s referred to as a "push," with neither the black jack player nor the croupier winning the hand.
