I have played countless of hands of blackjack. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. Given all that I have still spent an abundance of money at 21. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is founded on the fact that 21 seems to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the action back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets extremely exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a few years ago with $750 after 60 minutes using this tactic! And a couple of months ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.
Bet $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the original 5 dollar wager
Bet $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet $10
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the original $10 wager
Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20
Wager 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar bet
Bet $80
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the initial one hundred and sixty dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and lower your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
