I have enjoyed millions of rounds of 21. I began working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of bankroll at blackjack. The casinos have made it very hard to beat the house.
I still like the game and bet on a regular basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get loaded with this method or defeat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the fact that vingt-et-un appears to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 60 minutes using this tactic! And a number of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be astonished at the runs you notice playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the first five dollar wager
Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $10
Bet 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the first 10 dollar bet
Bet ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager 20 dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial $20 bet
Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $40
Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $40 wager
Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Bet $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 wager
Wager $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you departed at this point you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your wager or the final result won’t be the same.
